Welcome from the Headteacher

I feel very privileged to be headteacher of this lovely village school, set in the heart of the beautiful and historic North Wiltshire countryside. We are based in the village of Lockeridge on the Marlborough downs, and are a Voluntary Aided school based within the Salisbury Diocese. We are a small school with 80 children currently on the roll aged between 4 and 11 (from Reception to Year 6) across three classrooms.

We pride ourselves on the care and guidance that we provide for our pupils with Christian values being at the core of everything that we do. Every child is well known to the staff and personalised provision is our key aim. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to be equipped with the essential skills that will provide them with the chance to succeed in life, academically, artistically, through sports and social engagement. Much of the learning is based on real life experiences and whenever it is possible we make use of the historic heritage that surrounds us.

Kennet Valley is a very special school and we welcome everyone with a smile. We work to develop confident, caring, forward thinking, questioning children who will go on to flourish at secondary school, and on to their chosen career paths. Visitors always comment on how welcome the children make them feel, so please do contact Jenny Haines in the school office to arrange a visit.
