School governing bodies are now encouraged to produce an annual statement for parents and all other stakeholders connected to their school. Whilst this is not yet a statutory requirement, it is considered to be good practice and provides some insight into the role of the Governing Body.
Please find attached below the first Annual Report produced by The Governing Body of The Kennet Valley Church of England (VA) Primary School.
Each sub committee meet once a term (6 times a year) about two weeks prior to the full governing body meetings (FGB).
These meetings are an opportunity for the Governors to talk through items such as student progress, school finances, any issues with the school premises, curriculum developments, staffing, training, policy review and parent questions & concerns.
