Walking to School Where possible we do encourage children to walk to school and we work closely with our Road Safety Officer at Wiltshire Council to ensure that children are taught how to walk safely. We encourage all children to wear high visibility jackets to ensure they can be easily seen by all traffic using the village.
School Bus
The School Bus is provided by Wiltshire Council for children in the villages of West Overton, East Kennet & Avebury as they do not have a safe walking route to school. A place on the school bus needs to be applied for and further details and an application form are available here or from the school office.
Cycling
The ‘Bikeability’ training program is provided to all children over the age of 10 who have a road worthy bike available to them. For further details please go to the Bikeability website
