School Uniform

 
At Kennet Valley C of E VA Primary School we take pride in our appearance. 

We believe that we are one big family and our uniform shows people which school family we belong to. 

We recommend and encourage both boys and girls to wear the following:

DAILY UNIFORM

Royal blue Jumper* or Cardigan*kids playing at school
White collard T-shirt* or shirt
Grey Trousers, Skirt, Pinafore dress or Shorts
Blue/white Stripe or gingham dress
Black Shoes/Sandals
Grey Tights/socks or white socks

(*Available with the school logo.)

SPORTS KIT

ALL year groups will be doing PE on a WEDNESDAY afternoon at the Kennet Valley Village Hall, therefore we ask that all children come to school in their Sports kit on Wednesdays.
Each class will have an additional PE session and your class teacher will let you know about this.

PE kit should be as follows;

Plain white round neck T-shirt
Plain navy blue shorts or jogging bottoms
White socks
Royal Blue school jumper/hoody with or without logo
Trainers, that if at all possible are waterproof or shower resistant

Can you please ensure that all your child’s uniform is clearly labelled to reduce the risk of loss.

SECOND HAND UNIFORM

We have a small supply of second hand clothing for sale and if you are interested in this please speak to the school office who will put you in touch with the ‘Friends of KVS’.

JEWELLERY 

Stud earrings may be worn throughout the school day, apart from during swimming or PE sessions when they must be either taken out by the child or not worn into school that day.
We ask for no necklaces to be worn in school at all. 

HAIR

Please could all hair, which is collar length or longer, be tied up at all times throughout the school day, not just for PE or swimming sessions. Please can all alice bands/hairbands be plain, i.e with no embellishments, such as cat ears, bows or flowers.

SCHOOL BAGS & WATER BOTTLES

All children in Reception and Year 1  will need a book bag, either the over shoulder book bag or the classic single (clearly named).

Other children have the option to use a rucksack, however this is optional.

All children will be given a new water bottle at the start of each academic year. This bottle stays at school and is refilled daily by the child. They are all washed in the dishwasher regularly.
